November 11 is the date to watch, because your stored Contribution turns into Gyldenblod Leaves for the Fateweaver Shop. I’d check the Mistfall Hunter Gyldenblood Money position first, then decide what should be spent before the settlement rather than blindly feeding the warehouse.
How the Leaf conversion really works
The awkward bit is the tiering. Small and medium stashes get a better return per unit, while very large balances lose efficiency as they cross higher brackets. That looks harsh, but it stops one hoarder from walking into Season 2 with every useful purchase covered. The exact thresholds are shown on the October 22 in-game page, not in a public rate chart. Take a screenshot, write down the bracket, and run the numbers again after any serious spend-down. A few bags, vouchers, or building materials can shift the result more than you’d expect.
Spend down with a bit of sense
There’s no prize for leaving every currency untouched. If an item gives you more play time, better map access, or a retained reward, using it before the settlement may be smarter than protecting a poor conversion band.
1. Finish useful camp levels with ordinary, non-double-charged materials.
2. Fill empty Combat Bag slots before the settlement.
3. Check Rare Pouch Voucher rewards before using or saving them.
Build the first shopping order
Once the Leaves appear, resist the shiny purchases for a minute. Combat Bags and Holy Soulcatch Nets keep the basic loop running, especially during the first evening when everyone wants to test the new maps. Pip’s Rare Pouches come next if their contents restore currencies or other repeat-use supplies. The Unbound Holy Collectibles Selection Chest is more personal; open its tooltip in town and identify missing pieces before choosing. The two Season 1 commemoratives are unique, so they deserve protection in your plan, just not ahead of tools you’ll need immediately.
1. Buy Combat Bags when your map runs already feel cramped.
2. Pick Holy Soulcatch Nets before cosmetic spending.
3. Review Selection Chest contents before opening.
4. Reserve Leaves for the Bug Jar and medal afterward.
A quick view of the shop priorities
This is the order I’d use for a normal account, though a collector may swap the last two choices. Your current bag count matters more than a neat-looking shopping list.
PurchaseImmediate valueSuggested timing
Combat BagsMore room for active runsFirst visit
Holy Soulcatch NetsRestores catch toolsFirst visit
Selection ChestTargets missing collectiblesAfter checking the tooltip
Season 1 commemorativesPermanent unique display itemsAfter practical tools
That order isn’t about being cautious for its own sake. Empty bags and missing nets can slow every map, while a medal can wait in the shop without changing your run speed.
Contribution sources people overlook
Inventory and warehouse value matter, but they’re only part of the picture. Gyldenblod, Echoes of Fate, Soul Cocoons, Combat Bags, Soulcatch Nets, camp levels, and unused Rare Pouch Vouchers can all feed the total. A half-finished Workshop may be worth completing if it uses the right materials. Meanwhile, old Soulcatch Tree supplies that no longer fit the new tree should be redirected instead of buried in an upgrade with little future value. Don’t count Moonlight Nectar in the same way. Retained Nectar survives and shouldn’t be treated as disposable Contribution fuel.
Keep records, especially with a group
Take screenshots of your pre-settlement Gyldenblod, warehouse value, bag counts, and key currencies. After November 11, compare those figures with the Leaf result. It won’t reveal every hidden calculation, but it will show whether your bracket estimate was close. Party members can land in different bands, too, so don’t schedule difficult maps assuming everyone has equal shop power. Two medium accounts may end up with more practical supplies than one huge stash after diminishing returns do their work.
Make the commemoratives count
Assign the Gyldjar Mistchaser’s Messenger Bug Jar and the Proof of the Soul Hunt medal to the character you’ll actually show in social hubs during Season 2. A parked alt is a poor home for a permanent display item. Keep a short note of every Leaf purchase for the first three days, then revisit the shop after the opening weekend. By then, you’ll know whether the higher drop rates are covering your needs or whether another bag run is still essential. When the balance is finally clear, buy Mistfall Hunter Gyldenblood only as part of a plan that protects your tools, your preferred character, and the Season 1 pieces you actually want to keep.
